When I got cassette recorder with CD I felt in tricky situation that brings CD playtime. How effectively record songs from CD to tape. My friend had CD player which had this function built-in. I had no choice (because I hadn't money for new CD player) so I programmed this function to my computer. First I used simple algorithm, e.g. test all time combinations. But computing time with more then few songs was too long. Then came T.S.S. with brilliant algorithm which change time dependence from geometric to linear. It ate many times more memory but speed unbelievably grew.
